The Trust for Tomrrow is seeking an engineer or water resources professional for a wide range of projects, including wetland restoration, stream restoration and water quality BMPs. The individual should like to travel, work outside and have excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. The ideal candidate would be a hands-on people person with a common-sense approach to day to day problem solving. The majority of work will include supervising project construction and collecting project data, including topographic surveys, for restoration plans. Other responsibilities include assisting with preliminary planning and plans of operation, reviewing project designs and specifications, and conducting project as-builts. The position will work closely with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Wetland Reserve Easement Program (WRP/WRE) so prior experience working with NRCS is preferred. Extensive travel will be required, with projects located from North Carolina through Florida to Louisiana. It is anticipated that the majority of projects will be in eastern North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. The position will be located near Savannah, Georgia, and work out of a home-based office. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or other science-related field is required.
